CPSB RECOMMENDS FOR

CITY ENGINEERS & PLANNERS

Farmer's Markets, Street Fairs, City Events

architect with project plan

One of the most tragic dangers are community events filled with fun, industry and excitement ruined by an accidental run-away vehicle. Responsible planning should call for removable vehicle stopping security bollards on streets and walkways with vehicle access. The security bollards below, properly installed, are an excellent and inexpensive solution to assure the safety of village, city and metropolitan public events.

MOST COMMONLY USED BOLLARD TYPES

  • REMOVABLE

REMOVABLE INTERNAL LOCKING SECURITY BOLLARDS

Internal Locking Removable bollards are our most flexible-use security bollard. The removable bollard post locks into an embedment sleeve and can only be removed by unlocking the convenient tamper-proof internal lock. When the bollard post is removed a flip-up stainless steel lid safely covers the empty embedment sleeve.

Internal Locking Removable bollards used in conjunction with Embedded bollards, Removable Internal Locking safety bollards create a flexible barrier system that quickly allows large objects like promotional materials and vehicles to move through the barrier while maintaining superior stopping strength.

REMOVABLE EXTERNAL PADLOCK SECURITY BOLLARDS

Removable External Padlock bollards are commonly used in industrial applications. The external padlock on the bollard allows relatively easy access to public service vehicles such as the fire or police into restricted areas.

The External Padlocking Removable bollard offers the same versatility as the Internal Locking Removable bollards. In a mixed barrier application of fixed and removable bollards these bollard posts quickly and easily allow movement of large objects through the perimeter. These bollards are ideal for use in in college and university installations, access control for parking lots, and security and safety at military bases.

EMBEDDED SECURITY BOLLARDS

Embedded, Fixed Post Security Bollards are the most commonly used safety and security bollard posts. They are often found protecting stationary objects such as an electrical junction installations to providing a protective barrier for pedestrians on busy streets and in many, many more applications. Embedded bollards are relatively easy to install and allow free pedestrian movement between the bollards unlike most safety barriers made from concrete or other materials.

RETRACTABLE MANUALLY-ASSISTED SECURITY BOLLARDS

Retractable Manually-assisted security bollards rise from the ground and lock into place with a simple turn of a key. When the bollard post is extended, turning the key again allows the bollard post to retract and lock flush to the surface grade with very little effort. It is effective in parking access control and protection of entrances and buildings applications.

Because the assisted lift mechanism uses a heavier, more secure bollard post this bollard system is delivers higher security protection then simpler bollard systems. Concern for who can or how a heavy, high-security bollard can be physically retracted or extended is virtually eliminated. The gas-assisted bollard mechanism is particularly appropriate in areas where power may be lost or is not available.
